COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 12, 2026: This week real estate brokerage Live Dream Colorado fulfilled its annual commitment to donate a portion of sales revenue to support the environment.

As an internationally recognized 1% for the Planet member company, Live Dream Colorado supports local nonprofits Trails and Open Space Coalition and Palmer Land Conservancy in their work to conserve and protect natural outdoor spaces in the Colorado Springs area. Live Dream Colorado, represented by broker owner Lauren D Collier and broker Jay Collier, recently donated $1,777.38 each to Trails and Open Space Coalition and Palmer Land Conservancy.

Trails and Open Space Coalition, represented by Executive Director Glenn Carlson, accepted the donation on March 12th in the presence of TOSC staff. Carlson says “With the generous support of Lauren with Live Dream Colorado, TOSC was able to continue its important work in the community. We successfully helped pass a new eBike policy in Colorado Springs, opening up recreation and transportation opportunities. In addition, we hosted nearly 2,000 volunteers in stewardship efforts throughout the region. In 2025 alone, TOSC removed over 7,000 lbs of trash from the community and advocated for the nearly complete Legacy Loop”

Expanding their giving in 2026, Live Dream Colorado welcomes their newest 1% for the Planet member partner, Palmer Land Conservancy. Donor Relations Manager Astrid Monar accepted the donation on March 9th, sharing, “Founded in 1977 through the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department, Palmer emerged from a deep community commitment to preserve what makes southern Colorado extraordinary…to protect the landscapes, natural resources, and outdoor spaces that define our region’s character for generations to come. Several projects are on the horizon in 2026. With the City of Colorado Springs, we’re permanently protecting over 1,000 acres for possible future public use – new places to hike, bike, ride, and reconnect with the outdoors. Partnering with a local family, we’ll permanently protect a half-mile of wooded Fountain Creek shoreline – home to elk, mule deer, black bear, and countless species.”

Trail Ambassadors, Friends Groups, underserved neighborhoods – these remain some of our top priorities along with completing the Ring the Peak Trail. Wanting to make sustainable choices, in high school and college I explored career paths in ecology. Upon deciding to pursue my passion in real estate, I remained committed to my mission of being proactive for the environment through my career.

Enter 1% for the Planet, the international organization bringing together business owners from around the globe to collaborate toward the common mission of environmental philanthropy. As a proud member organization, we want to protect nature and amplify the impact of nonprofits who work so hard toward that goal. 1% for the Planet vets our nonprofit partners so we can ensure the donations are put to good use.

When you work with Live Dream Colorado, you help support environmental stewardship. We donate a portion of sales each and every year to Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) because we believe in their mission to protect trails, parks, and open spaces, for today and for future generations. One of the most wonderful aspects of Colorado Springs is our unique abundance of natural parks, trails, and open spaces. I personally love the quick access to a variety of natural places throughout town and nearby, and I know that’s a big reason many people settle here and love living here.

With that, I’m so happy to report that for the seventh year, I was again able to represent my real estate brokerage Live Dream Colorado in fulfilling our annual 1% for the Planet pledge to donate a portion of revenue to support the environment! Davies says “The pandemic made our shared outdoor spaces even more invaluable. Parks, trails and open spaces proved to be the safest places for us to recreate and recharge. TOSC immediately reached out to local leaders encouraging them to keep trailheads and parks open, which they did. Then TOSC created a tool – “Get out Spread Out” – for users. The short videos gave our community safe, active options in all corners of our region. TOSC did what so many of us were forced to do this past year – get creative and remain resilient for the good of our community.”

Trails and Open Space Coalition has been hard at work toward a mission to make new connections between trails so that we can all easily reach more destinations by foot, bike, and other non-motorized transport, all while enjoying nature. Their work makes it safer and more fun for all of us to be out on the trails. We think the trails are one of the greatest facets of Colorado Springs, so we love contributing to this work.

Last year, as every year, Trails and Open Space Coalition also led bike rides, hikes, crew training, and park improvement work days that keep our parks in great condition and provide fun for the whole family. Acres were even added to Corral Bluffs Open Space and Blodgett Peak Open Space. We want to thank TOSC for their hard work this past year and every year.

As a member of international nonprofit organization 1% for the Planet, Live Dream Colorado pledges to donate 1% of annual income to support the environment. 1% for the Planet was started in 2002 by the founder of outdoor gear company Patagonia to inspire businesses to contribute to environmental causes. Live Dream Colorado has been a 1% for the Planet member since 2017 and has been honoring their commitment to donate a portion of annual proceeds to Trails and Open Space Coalition since 2015. 1% for the Planet verifies the company’s gross income and donation amount in order to certify their pledge.
