Green Mountain Falls

Green Mountain Falls offers art, trails, and local restaurants. It’s the perfect place to drop in on a hot Summer day!

At an altitude of 7,800 feet, Green Mountain Falls is a midpoint heading West up Highway 24 from Manitou Springs up toward the City Above the Clouds, Woodland Park.

If you’ve never hiked this area, the options will impress you! My personal favorite is the Catamount Trail up to gorgeous Catamount Reservoir! Check out the Green Mountain Falls Trail Map to explore all of them for yourself. There is ample parking available in town.

Something new and special, which is great for everyone in the region, is Skyspace by American artist James Turrell. It’s an art installation you have to hike to! Skypace is brought to us by Green Box Arts, a keystone part of the Green Mountain Falls community. Green Box offers performances, classes, rotating outdoor art exhibits, and so much more. It’s truly a regional treasure.

Have a stroll around Gazebo Lake and a dip at the Green Mountain Falls Municipal Pool. Try an overnight stay at a local cabin, lodge, or inn. Take a casual walk to a waterfall! Dine at The Pantry and sip at The Blue Moose. Find all the reasons to love this quaint mountain town!
